About Us

Sause Marine Services was formed in 1990 in the state of Hawaii to meet the growing demand for shipment of oversized and heavy cargo between the various Hawaiian Islands and throughout the Western Pacific region.

Since 1990, our mission has been to provide our customers with a transportation alternative that essentially provides One-Stop shopping for their heavy and specialized transport service needs. Sause Marine consolidates all of the necessary services into a single contract carriage service that can take cargo from the point of origin and deliver to the destination site, utilizing land and sea modes of transportation. Once on-site, Sause Marine can also provide crane and rigging services to erect or place the cargo on site.

In 1994 we expanded our operation to the US West Coast with operating and administration near Portland, Oregon. In 2001, Sause Marine shifted focus to the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, continuing to concentrate efforts on specialization transportation projects. Over the years, Sause Marine has become very familiar with transporting cargo throughout the west coast including the Columbia River, as well as the Yukon River. Sause Marine assisted with the transportation of over 15,000 tons of drill waste from Tyonek, AK to Boardman, OR via the Columbia River. We have also provided tug and barge services to lay over 100 miles of fiber-optic cable in Prince William sound.

From 2015 to 2016, Sause Marine provided services and Personnel to rig and operate barges in order to land drilling spreads in Alaska at the following sites: Nome, Kotzebue, Point Hope, Wainwright, and Barrow.

As Sause Marine moves forward, the intent is to utilize the knowledge and experience gained over the last 30 years to continue expanding offshore Alaska operations. Our mission continues to be to provide our customers with an efficient transportation alternative for specialized transport projects.
